Our unique combination of countryside cycling activities, sightseeing and authentic cultural tour will take you far away from the regular tourist itinerary and “off the beaten track” deep into rural Bali where you will be able to see bamboo forest, traditional villages, ancient temples, local customs and rituals as well as age-old traditions of Balinese people.
This bicycle tour is a full day tour, feel free to stop at any point, anywhere and any time to enjoy all interesting things you may find along the way, taking some photos, recording videos, interact with local villagers, greet balinese children or just to take a rest. Our friendly and informative guides will be pleased to help you with anything you want to know.
During the tours, at some points it will be difficult for you to take the picture of yourself when riding the bike. But don't worry, we will do it for you so you can stay focus on enjoying your tour. Your 'action photos' will be sent to your email for free.
We begin our tour by driving you from your accommodation by A/C van and then drive you up to visit famous rice terraces in Tegallalang. The emerald-green rice terraces in the river gorge north of Tegallalang village in central Bali are generally considered to offer travelers the best photo opportunity. Tagallalang Rice Terrace on our way to Mt. Batur to start for breakfast. Break in Coffee Plantation This is a coffee plantation on the way up the mountains to Kintamani. Here we learned about the different coffee grown in the plantation. We were a bit spun out by one unique way to process coffee using an animal called Luwak.

Car drive uphill, Balinese breakfast with breathtaking views on active volcano Mount Batur and Batur Lake.
After breakfast our friendly guides will then take you on an amazing ride through the beautiful Balinese countryside where you will see some spectacular views..
We ride through an incredible 70 acre bamboo forest and see traditional craftsmen at work and farmers tending to their rice fields en route.
The ride also includes a visit to the magical Balinese Traditional Village "PENGLIPURAN"
Penglipuran Village is a very traditional village which has its own unique culture and way of life.
Penglipuran Village is a place of interest and outstanding beauty in
Bali. All the houses have been built from north to the south with the
traditional entrance gate to each family compound being nearly
identical.
As you ride through timeless small villages you will see the smiles of
Balinese children and hear friendly greetings from local villagers..
The next stop on our descent will be at the magnificent "PURA KEHEN".
You will be able to enter the temple to see it in all its splendor and if by any chance there is a ceremony taking place you will be invited to witness the colorful event and our guides will explain to you the significance of the ritual.
To end a perfect trip, we will take you for a short walk through the rice paddies to see villagers planting and harvesting rice (you can even join in).
After the bike tour has finished we will invite you 'Authentic
Restaurant in the middle rice paddies "where you will be served a
magnificent luncheon. In there is a small Balinese plantation where
you can learn about the medicinal uses and cultural importance of a
variety of local plants.
And you will see many of the spices which are commonly used in cooking
as well as different tropical fruits growing in their natural
environment.

Tips When You Join This Tour
- Always wear your helmet and attach it properly while riding your bike.
- Test your bike before the tour starts and check that all the parts of the bike are working properly. Adjust your seat if necessary so that you are seated comfortably and that your feet are able to touch the ground. We always do a thorough check of all parts of the bike before the tour, but you should still double check everything to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident on the bike.
- Do not ride too close to other riders and always be alert to your guide who should always be in front of you leading the way.
- Be sure you know how to ride the bike, including usage of gears and other components.
